About the Event

This workshop organized by the Global Center on Adaptation(GCA), the Center for Environmental Education (CEE), and the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) will discuss learning needs for climate resilience and good practices on youth-led adaptation action. The workshop will showcase activities of the Youth Adaptation Network (YAN) an umbrella platform to engage, empower and amplify the role of young people in the adaptation agenda with members in over 130 countries. This workshop builds on the Global Youth Call to Action on Adaptation: Adapt for our Future launched in January 2021 and co-designed by the GCA’s Youth Adaptation Network through 15 global and regional consultations and inputs from young people from 120 countries. The Global Youth Call to Action outlines the importance of raising awareness on adaptation to climate change and promoting universal education, training and skills development to empower younger generations to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
